• Complete the adoption fee payment

Please note that the adoption fee is required upfront prior to the animal leaving our care. Adoption fees are refundable only during the two-week home trial period if the adoption is not a good fit and the animal is returned to Heart of Texas Animal Rescue within that timeframe.

The two-week home trial allows both your family and the animal time to adjust and ensure the placement is the right match for everyone involved. During this period, we encourage open communication and are happy to provide support, guidance, and transition advice as needed.

If the trial period is successful, you will receive the final adoption contract to officially complete and finalize the adoption.
